Hayley in Class 4 entered a competition to design a coat of arms and won an all expenses paid trip to the Council Chambers for her class. There they met the Mayor of Dacorum, Councillor David Collins, and got to try on some mayoral robes and hold the mace - it was extremely heavy! Hayley was presented with a framed copy of her design, together with a miniature shield of Dacorum for school and also a £50 voucher for her class. The children enjoyed their trip immensely and this is the feedback from the mayor's secretary:

'The children were very well behaved and asked some excellent questions. They are a credit to your school and it was very evident that they had a great time!'
