At Leverstock Green CE Primary School we aim to foster the children’s curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world. This can be achieved through languages. Our chosen interactive scheme of work allows children to understand and respond in both speech and writing whilst being enjoyable and stimulating with songs and games being part of lessons and also supports non-specialist staff. Teachers give opportunities for listening and reading with the aim of improving their communication for practical purposes. We strive in working towards the National Curriculum’s expectation that we can motivate our children and provide an opening to other cultures, as well as a foundation and inspiration to learn further languages in later education.
