40th Anniversary Celebration
Tue 01 Jul 2025We are 40 years old this year! The building first opened as Westwick School but merged with the original village school in 1985 and so Leverstock Green CE Primary School was born.
We are inviting pupils and families past and present, former teachers and members of our community to join our celebrations on Sunday 28th September. There will be an all-age thanksgiving service in Holy Trinity church at 10am followed by coffee. After that, everyone is invited to walk through the village to the school, just as the original families did when the school first opened, to enjoy ‘open house’ from 12 – 3pm. Visitors are invited to visit classrooms, reminisce with friends and record their memories for our current pupils to enjoy as ‘living history.’
If you have photos or memorabilia from your time at our school, we would love to display them in the hall for everyone to enjoy. Digital photos can be emailed to celebration@leverstockgreen.herts.sch.uk . Physical photos and other items can be dropped off at the school office and we will return them to you afterwards.
Our PTA will be providing cream teas which can be ordered in advance using the QR code.
Please spread the word far and wide so as many former ‘Greenies’ as possible can join our celebrations. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Making a Difference
Wed 08 May 2024Congratulations to Lily in Y5, who has completed the 60 Mile Walkies challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. She and her dog Harley have been out walking in all the terrible weather April threw at us and also sold doggy treat cones, raising a final total of £1123. Here she is with Fido, our school dog,
and her certificate. A phenomenal effort – we’re all very proud of you, Lily!

Soiree Evening
Wed 15 Mar 2023On Wednesday 15th March 2023, parents attended a Musical Soirée showcasing a snapshot of the music that is enjoyed at Leverstock Green.
Performers included Year 5 strumming their ukuleles; Ocarina Club; piano soloists; guitar soloists; Year 6 dance; KS2 Choir.
Although previously an annual event, the Soirée was our first following the pandemic, and we are continuing to rebuild our musical clubs and instrumental lessons.
Any parents whose children wish to learn an instrument at school – piano, guitar, violin, flute or clarinet – should ask at the school office for details.

Harvest celebration
Wed 05 Oct 2022On Monday, we went to Holy Trinity for our Harvest celebration. Every year group shared some learning they have done around harvest and the KS2 choir sang to us all. Gathering together at church is always a special time and we thank everyone in our community for your generosity with donations for DENS.
