On Friday 23rd September we had unexpected visitors. As the children were arriving at school, a hot air balloon descended slowly onto the field. Apparently, when a balloon begins its descent, the pilot has limited control over where it will touch down! There were rumours that Mrs Burgess had come to school in the balloon - sadly it wasn't true, but it did give the children plenty of inspiration for creative writing.
