Spellings will be sent home to practice on a Thursday and tested the following Tuesday. All children will be tested, even if they don't practice them at home. This is so we can assess their progress with phonics, writing and common exception / tricky words.

Homework will be uploaded to the class pages to your child's group. The group stickers will be in the front of their homework diary, helping them know where to find the correct words.

Children have been set Maths homework, focusing on Doubling.

Please find your child's MyMaths log in, stuck in the front of their homework diary. They also camehome with a letter with a little more information.

Children have also been set spellings to practice. These will be sent home weekly on a Thursday and all children will be tested on a Tuesday, even if they do not practice at home. This is to ensure that we can accurately assess their progress in phonics, writing and with high frequency / common exception / tricky words.

Children will be tested on their spellings and have been put into groups, which are in their homework diary. The test is done as an independent piece of work:

1. The word is read.
2. The word is put into a sentence.
3. The word is read again.
4. The children write the word.
