We have spent much of the week developing our reasoning skills related to 2D and 3D shapes. Homework set this week will once again consolidate this. |

Please ensure your children practises their times tables daily on TTRS. This only needs to be for 5/ 10 minutes per day but daily practise is proven to lead to greater fluency. We will also be using the resource in class whenever we can.

Please ensure your child has read a minimum of 5 times and logged it into their reading record. Reading is the key to them accessing the full curriculum and they will struggle with further learning without the necessary practise. |

The children had a wonderful day at Cadbury World and it was incredible how much energy many of them still had even at the end of a long day. I guess the chocolate sample helped with that!
With warm weather thankfully in the forecast once again, please ensure children have a water bottle with them. A sunhat and sunglasses are also worth bringing in too along with any sun cream they may need to add.

Children will be looking at play scripts of a familiar story as well as the legend of Romulus and Remus, they will write their own versions using the features taught. Also children will learn to present a persuasive point of view in letter form |
Children will study division problem solving building on their previous work moving into long division. The will also learn how to tell the time to various intervals as well solving time problems. The will secure the four operations. |
Children identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants Explore the requirements of plants for life and how they vary from plant to plant. Investigate the way in which water is transported within plants and explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants. |
Children will investigate Pentecost, and investigate the impact of the Pentecost after Jesus left. |

Children will undertake a local study looking at the history of the area and how it is represented. They will compare different periods of time and use maps and artefacts to draw conclusions. |
Children will design and develop a program, house and promote a Micro:bit electronic charm to use in low-light conditions. |

Children will name and recognise up to 10 fruits in French, attempt to spell some of these nouns, ask somebody in French if they like a particular fruit and say what fruits they like and dislike. |

Children will begin to learn the rules of rounders and the different positions and skills needed. In football they will build and extend previously taught skills Children will participate in team game learning tactics and leadership skills. |
Children will investigate the force of magnetism and h ow they attract and repel themselves as well as investigate which materials are magnetic. They will understand that magnets can move objects even though they are not in contact with the surface and will design and conduct experiment and record data using accurate measurements. |
